INTRODUCTION

ICZM enters into a new era, guided by the Coastal Zone Policy 2005 & Coastal Development Strategy and steered by the Program Co-ordination Unit (PCU). These are milestone achievements, no doubt, in the process of establishing integrated coastal zone management of Bangladesh. Practicing ICZM is never an easy endeavour for any country, be it developed or developing. Bangladesh has made its initial marks. The way forward is to build on present achievements and promote further initiatives.

Present status of ICZM is presented through this website.
